Reflection Blog- Project 2

In this Project my task was to use various edit tools to modify different images, but to make them seem like they aren't fake at the slightest. I used many tools such as the patch tool, spot healing brush tool, healing brush tool, blur tool and dodge tool. These tools have different tasks but some on the other hand are similar like the clone stamp tool, healing brush tool,  patch tool, and the spot healing brush tool. Whats similar with the clone stamp and the patch tool is that they take a certain part of the image and can be replaced with another part of the image, like for instance in the rocky cliff image by using the patch tool you can take a part of a rock with cracks and in a way fix it by replacing or covering it up witha clear, clean part of the rock. The difference between these two tools is that one just really picks a precise spot of the image and kind of copys it while the other can circle a spot in the image and by moving that circle the spot can be made to look like another. The similarities between the spot healing brush and the healing brush tool is that the Spot healing brush can really be more precise when it comes to removing a part of an image like for instance in the first image that I was able to work on, the sprinkler head was easy to remove with the use of the spot healing brush and then the image looked as if the sprinkler head was never there. The healing brush can take another part of the image and press option so that everthing goes according to how it should be, plus you can change the amount of pixels you want to use in order to use the healing brush tool.

Other projects that these tools could be helpful are projects that have to do with making a presentation of people doing insane stunts, with the right edit tools a man could be seen jumping of a tree or getting his head stuck in a whales mouth. Depending on what tools are being used could really cause a huge attraction to people who would find the modifyed image fascinating. By using a tool to saturate a car, it could get viewers to be mezmorized by how such a feature could be possible to make this actually happen. As for the text warp option for my name, I am sad to say that I could not achieve that point of the project since i took my time and was hopefully able to finish atleast the first 4 images of the assignment. This has been my reflection blog for Project 2 and I found this project as a learning experience.

Reflection blog #2 - parts of the computer

In this project that I have been working on reciently was  basically to learn the parts of a computer and what it does  to get the information it needs to do the things we use it for. I really felt that the objective of this assignment was to understand the computer and look at it in a way that every part  is crucial for the computer to do the tasks that it does. For example without the CPU( Centeral Processing Unit) the computer wouldn't have anything to do because the CPU is like a brain for a computer. Another Example is how the fact that there are so many ways to transfer files like flash memory, usb, removable storage etc.  Before doing this project I barely knew about CPU, ROM and RAM but thanks to this project I have learned so much about the world of technology and what composes one of the major aspects of it , a computer.

The main parts of a computer are the CPU, motherboard, monitor, hard drive, heat sinks, fans, memory and the power supply, these are what a computer needs in order to operate. The CPU is the boss of the computer and it basically controls everythings thats going on . The CPU needs support in order to operate   like the heat sink, hard drive, fan, and  memory. The heat sink controls the heat that the computer produces and moves the hot air out of the computer. The fan makes the computer cooler and sometimes the heat sink will move around the cool air to make every part of the computer cooler. The hard drive is the computers  storage, without it the CPU will not be able to make the computer store anything in the computer which includes files and updates. What I found interesting about what I learned in this project was that there are so many ways to transfer files and  the devices thathelp  help us do the  simple thing we do  everyday like for example the modem to recieve internet access. Another thing I found interesting was that the input devices that I learned had weird names but what theyido is in fact on of the most important things that a computer needs. For example: a heat sink to make the computer warmer or ethernet in order to get connection to the internet or a firewire that is used to connect devices to a computer. I can honestly say that I didn't completely understand fiber optics, graphics card, sounds card and hard disk because since I haven't been familar with such things like this so it would be hard for me to understand something that doesn't go into my daily use of computers. This is my reflection of Project 2 and I was happy to learn more about computers than  I already knew before.

Computer Assignment Summary

John Diaz ,

In todays assignnment class what I did to draw the computer was that i stood up, not sitting down so that I couId get a better angle of the the computer. Furthermore, what I did was I started by drawing the most noticable things like the power switch the faults etc. The drawing overall wasn't that easy because of the fact that since I wanted to do as best as I could it would  have me  put a lot of  detail and effort. I saw parts thst were identifyed like: power suppily, power switch, faults,cd-rom drive, ram, mother board, Hard disk drive, floppy disk drive, computer repair , trainer modelces-975, power wd400, fdd and so on. I learned a lot from this assignment because if this is what a computer is made up of.  I can only imagine how much technolgy will progress in the future and so on,  and who knows what kind of drives new computers can store. The possibilities are endless to what can be done.

My 2 paragraph summary on Project 1

Hi,
In this project I learned many things like finding out how to find specific sized pictures on google . Also I learned how to find out what happens when you add "fake@" to a website and then send that address in an email and CC it to someone. I learned how to find the dimensions, kind, size and name with extension  of an imagein this project. This project is one that I found difficult at first but managed to overcome by finishing all of the sending of the 7 emails by the due date. Overall I can say that this project was pretty long but easy to understand.

I think the goal of this project was to learn how to use the 7 web categories effectively by finding one site  for each category and knowing the differences between all 7. Also to know how find the dimensions of photos use our skills of screenshot taking to the test. For example: for media site I was able to find a site that consisted of data that had to do with entertainment. I was able to use the information the I learned from my mac notes in this project so that i could successfully send 7 emails consisting of 7 site.docx. I learned many things and I was able to use CC for the first time even though when I sent the message it bounced back. I am aware that  it was suppose to bounce back  therefore ,I can say my completion of this project was indeed successful.
                           sincerly,
