Reflection blog #2 - parts of the computer

In this project that I have been working on reciently was  basically to learn the parts of a computer and what it does  to get the information it needs to do the things we use it for. I really felt that the objective of this assignment was to understand the computer and look at it in a way that every part  is crucial for the computer to do the tasks that it does. For example without the CPU( Centeral Processing Unit) the computer wouldn't have anything to do because the CPU is like a brain for a computer. Another Example is how the fact that there are so many ways to transfer files like flash memory, usb, removable storage etc.  Before doing this project I barely knew about CPU, ROM and RAM but thanks to this project I have learned so much about the world of technology and what composes one of the major aspects of it , a computer.

The main parts of a computer are the CPU, motherboard, monitor, hard drive, heat sinks, fans, memory and the power supply, these are what a computer needs in order to operate. The CPU is the boss of the computer and it basically controls everythings thats going on . The CPU needs support in order to operate   like the heat sink, hard drive, fan, and  memory. The heat sink controls the heat that the computer produces and moves the hot air out of the computer. The fan makes the computer cooler and sometimes the heat sink will move around the cool air to make every part of the computer cooler. The hard drive is the computers  storage, without it the CPU will not be able to make the computer store anything in the computer which includes files and updates. What I found interesting about what I learned in this project was that there are so many ways to transfer files and  the devices thathelp  help us do the  simple thing we do  everyday like for example the modem to recieve internet access. Another thing I found interesting was that the input devices that I learned had weird names but what theyido is in fact on of the most important things that a computer needs. For example: a heat sink to make the computer warmer or ethernet in order to get connection to the internet or a firewire that is used to connect devices to a computer. I can honestly say that I didn't completely understand fiber optics, graphics card, sounds card and hard disk because since I haven't been familar with such things like this so it would be hard for me to understand something that doesn't go into my daily use of computers. This is my reflection of Project 2 and I was happy to learn more about computers than  I already knew before.
